Community Groups: HEALING

While our first Sunday morning service won't be until April 19, we have started meeting weekly in small groups called Community Groups.

Since most of our church planting team has previously lived in Norman, we moved here with an opportunity unique to most church plants: preexisting relationships. Most church plants move to a city and build a community a few relationships at a time, enabling them the time to entrust core values to each new member. Since we've already gathered people who are interesting in building this church body with us, we have been given the focusing on imparting values to a large group of people with a diverse set of backgrounds.

In Community Group each week, we have been discussing Antioch's core values: Love God, Love others, Love those who don't know Jesus.

Just last week, at the end of Community Group, a guy in our group shared that he had a back injury that made his day to day activities difficult. It was so bad that he was having to receive steroid injections. A group of us laid hands on him and prayed for his back and HE WAS HEALED! Praise the Lord!
