Kids Community, our 1st-4th grade Sunday morning service is the place to be to see God at work. One of our 3rd grade boys has been on crutches for a few weeks due to a virus that settled in his hip; not fun, right? Two Sundays ago, he had his small group pray for him, and he was completely healed! He stopped using his crutches and has not picked them back up ever since!
Here is part of an email I received from a mother of one of the boys in his small group:
"One of the most exciting things about this for the boys and us as parents is to see the faith that was increased in the boys and the confidence that if someone has a physical need our response should be to pray. When I walked in to pick up the kids, Joshua, Hudson and Jack yelled across the room to tell me what had happened. Joshua couldn't wait to tell Jimmy and told his grandpa on the phone. What a privilege it is for our kids to learn and accept this as normal at such a young age so that the seeds of disbelief never have a chance to take root."
So encouraging! To me, the most exciting part is that God used the prayers of faith prayed by children, not the adult leaders! I love the fact that children are realizing that church is not just for attending - they are necessary and active participants in the body of Christ.
