Breakthrough!

Last month I attended the Bethel Healing School - Hem of His Garment- in Dallas. I went down with my sister, some friends from Norman (and on my team), and we met several friends from Waco there. It was a sweet time of worship and community with all of them. In fact, my mom was even able to attend one of the sessions with us!

Of course I went in hopes of God healing me, but the cry of my heart was (healed or not healed yet) to know Him more. We had so much fun just learning more about what God is doing in the nations and hearing stories about people getting healed all over the world. The presence of the Holy Spirit was tangible! Joy and uncontrollable laughter was erupting everywhere, and we even watched as a woman was being healed of scoliosis!

On Saturday night, the speaker was talking about receiving more of God's joy in our lives (a very timely message) but when he finished, he had two words of knowledge for the crowd (two things that as he was praying for the session at night he got the impression God wanted to heal them): the first was a person who had gotten in a bike accident on a blue bicycle at age 12 (SO specific, right?!). A person in the back timidly raised his/her hand to receive prayer. The second word was for... lupus! In stark contrast to the contained response of the bike accident victim, our whole section of Antioch people exploded! We jumped and screamed; people were punching the air and punching me! It was like we won the lottery (just from calling out a disease... not even healing it yet!).

My Antioch family gathered around me to pray. Then, my sister went to get the key deliverance speaker to come over and pray for me. She came stumbling over (full of the Holy Spirit) and asked me if there was anyone in my family who was a Mason (Freemason). My grandfather was, so she had me pray to break off any lingering ties to that in my family. With my sister standing beside me, she led us through a prayer of repentance and healing (as pictured above).

I didn't feel immediately better because I wasn't hurting when we started praying. The lady told me I should start to feel increasingly better. She said the root of the lupus has been broken off (praise God!) and that if symptoms come up I just need to tell them to come in alignment with the truth.

SO, about one month later now, and I am happy to report I have been feeling much better. I wouldn't say I am all the way there, but I am definitely on the road to recovery. It truly feels like the root is gone, and I have only faint symptoms left. I've noticed I have more energy in my day to day activities. I go to the doctor in November, so I will let you know the official results!
